# Blog Entry: Why don't government agencies use personality tests for pre-employment? 

## Summary
Both the private sector and government agencies perform extensive pre-employment testing for many of their positions. However, both sides test quite differently. While the private sector tends to focus on ‘Job Fit’ and personality traits, government agencies focus on knowledge, skills, and abilities.
