New Web-based Spoken Language Tests Now Available
Aldie, VA, June 1, 2021— Continuing its tradition of game-changing innovation, HR Avatar has introduced a line of web-based spoken language tests that use artificial intelligence (AI) to evaluate a candidate's ability to hear, understand, and speak in a particular language.
As markets become increasingly global, companies need the ability to serve customers in different languages. To maintain efficiency in their hiring processes, employers need a means to automatically evaluate the ability of a candidate to communicate effectively in a particular language.
Currently, 17 different languages and language variants are available, with more on the way. Supported languages include Chinese, Arabic, English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, and Dutch. All tests are available in two forms: full language administration, in which the test is administered completely in the target language, and English administration, in which the test is administered in English.
Each assessment measures important conversational competencies such as Sharing Thoughts Clearly, Speaking Clearly, Hearing, Understanding, and Responding, and Repeating Back Clearly. In addition to numeric scores, employers and test administrators are able to obtain a voice sample that can be played back at any time as a final check.
