Faster, More Secure Testing with Computer-Adaptive Assessments
Cut testing time without sacrificing accuracy.
HR Avatar has expanded its Computer-Adaptive Testing (CAT) options, giving employers a faster, more secure way to assess candidates.
Unlike traditional assessments with a predetermined set of questions, CAT assessments adapt as the candidate progresses. The system uses previous responses to select the questions that will provide the most useful information about that candidate's ability. Once the system has enough information to confidently estimate a score, the assessment can end.
The result? Assessments can be up to 50% shorter while maintaining measurement precision.
CAT also improves test security because questions are selected from a large question bank based on each candidate's responses, making it less likely that candidates will receive the same set of questions.
HR Avatar's CAT assessments are currently set to a minimum of 8 questions and a maximum of 20, with topic balancing built in to help provide appropriate coverage of the material.
Seven CAT Assessments Are Now Available
There is no new process to learn. CAT assessments are administered just like other HR Avatar assessments and can be included in test batteries and used with HR Avatar's remote proctoring options.
