HR Avatar Brandon Hall Group Award

Oakton, VA., December, 2014 - HR Avatar, Inc. project work has won the Gold Brandon Hall Group Award for Excellence in Training and Development.

For 20 years, the Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards Program has been considered the “Academy Awards” for the learning and talent industry. As the most prestigious awards program in the industry, the program attracts thousands of entrants from around the world.

HR Avatar, as part of a project accomplished as a sub to SRA International, was awarded for Best Use of Video for Learning for Honoring Our Veterans and Serving Our Families. The blend of motivational stories and practical cemetery wisdom shared by the Under Secretary of Memorial Affairs and the team of National Cemetery Administration caretakers and directors made a strong impression on the video award review team, much as it has on students since its debut.

HR Avatar Brandon Hall Group Award The Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) National Cemetery Administration maintains 131 national cemeteries in 40 states (and Puerto Rico) as well as 33 soldier's lots and monument sites. Every day, thousands of employees help families of Veterans mourn their loved ones with respect and compassion. The touching video uses interviews to highlight the impact cemetery employees have on Veterans' families during a very difficult time in their lives. The video also calls attention to the daily hard work necessary to maintain the high standard of excellence the NCA follows to honor the nation's Veterans. NCA Caretakers view the video as part of the vigorous training program that helps the NCA maintain its consistently stellar Customer Satisfaction rating.

"SRA has always valued the opportunity to partner with strong organizations like yours, but never more so than on the projects on which we have co-labored with you for NCA," said Tony Ingle, SRA Principal and Senior Human Capital Consultant. "Professionalism, diligence and passion have helped to achieve a national recognition of which we can all be proud. And perhaps even more importantly, your work has provided an important service to this nation’s Veterans and their families."
