HR Avatar adds new Interpersonal Competency Modules   October 29, 2016, 8:00:00 PM EDT
HR Avatar has extended its library of job-specific simulation-based assessments to measure critical interpersonal competencies relevant to employees within virtually all companies. Built in a modular format, an animated situational judgment format has been used to evaluate the following competencies and contexts:

Key Leadership Competencies
  • Resolving Conflicts and Meeting Customer Needs
  • Exercising Political Savvy
  • Guiding, Directing, and Motivating Others
  • Coaching and Developing Others
  • Team Building
Key Sales Competencies
  • Conveying Value
  • Building Relationships with Customers and Coworkers
  • Demonstrating Customer Focus
  • Driving for Results
  • Resolving Conflicts and Meeting Customer Needs
Key Customer Service Competencies
  • Working Well with Teams
  • Building Relationships with Customers and Coworkers
  • Demonstrating Customer Focus
  • Helping Customers Understand Information
  • Resolving Conflicts and Meeting Customer Needs
Key Team Member Competencies
  • Working Well with Teams
  • Building Relationships with Customers and Coworkers
  • Demonstrating Customer Focus
  • Maintaining Flexibility and Adaptability
  • Resolving Conflicts and Meeting Customer Needs

Several animated scenarios have been developed for each competency, often using different work contexts related to each targeted role. For instance, for sales, one scenario may involve a retail sales representative while another may involve a B2B outside sales representative.  HR Avatar plans to continue to expand its library with new contexts over time, covering more an more contexts.

The exciting thing about the modular approach used for these assessment modules is that they can be administered in standalone format or they can be easily combined with other HR Avatar assessments into a tightly coupled simulation. Simulations have been proven to increase test performance in selection-oriented situations and are recommended by the U. S. Department of Labor.
