The Plumbing (Residential) test is designed to evaluate the knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level to mid-level residential plumbers to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in homes. The assessment covers key areas including Pipes, Fittings, and Connections; Drain, Waste, and Vent (DWV) Systems; Fixtures: Installation and Repair; Water Supply Systems and Pressure; Water Heater Installation and Maintenance; and Leak and Clog Diagnosis and Repair. It measures practical skill across these domains, assessing candidates' understanding of pipe materials, tools and techniques, drainage systems, water pressure principles, codes and regulations, backflow prevention, and troubleshooting methods.
