About the test
The Oracle Database Administration test evaluates the knowledge and skills of job candidates and employees necessary to support Oracle database configuration, maintenance, and operations, covering areas such as Backup and Recovery Using Recovery Manager (RMAN), User, Role, and Privilege Management, Tablespace and Storage Management, Database Startup, Shutdown, and Initialization Parameters, Performance Monitoring with AWR and ADDM, and Data Pump Export and Import. The test measures skill proficiency through a variety of question types including Multiple Choice, Multiple Correct Answer, and Essay Composition questions, with some questions featuring individual time limits to discourage cheating and improve predictive accuracy. Questions are drawn from a large pool to further reduce the risk of cheating, and one or more questions are scored using artificial intelligence to ensure consistent and objective evaluation.

Following completion, the test produces a Candidate Selection Report that includes an overall score and detailed scores for each attribute.

Consistent use of an interview guide is an important part of gaining better candidate insights and making better hiring decisions.
