# SQL - Basic Assessment

## Description
The SQL - Basic assessment is designed to evaluate the foundational to mid-level SQL knowledge and skills of job candidates and employees, focusing on their ability to write, debug, and maintain SQL scripts in business environments. The test measures competency across six key areas: SELECT Statements and Filtering, JOIN Operations, Aggregate Functions and GROUP BY, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE Statements, Table Definition and Constraints, and Subqueries and NULL Handling. It also assesses understanding of database structure management, views, set operations, index concepts, and NULL handling techniques such as COALESCE and CASE expressions.

The assessment uses a variety of question formats including Multiple Choice, Multiple Correct Answer, and Essay Composition questions, with one or more questions scored using artificial intelligence to ensure accurate evaluation of open-ended responses. Questions are drawn from a large pool to minimize the risk of cheating, and one or more questions include individual time limits to further deter dishonesty and enhance the predictive validity of results.
