# Python Programming (Short) Assessment

## Description
The Python Programming (Short) test evaluates the knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level to mid-level programmers to write, debug, deploy, and maintain software applications using libraries, keywords, packages, and tools from the standard edition of Python. The assessment measures candidate and employee proficiency across six key areas: Core Data Structures, Control Flow and Functions, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Error Handling and Debugging, File Handling and Data Processing, and Modules, Packages, and Environments. This includes comprehension of data structures such as lists, dictionaries, tuples, and sets, the implementation of logic using object-oriented principles and control flow statements, the handling of file inputs and outputs, the isolation of errors using exception blocks, and the organization of code into modules and virtual environments.

The test measures skill-based competencies through a variety of question formats, including Multiple Choice, Multiple Correct Answer, and Essay Composition questions. Questions are drawn from a large pool to minimize the risk of cheating, and one or more questions include time limits to further deter dishonesty and improve predictive performance. Additionally, one or more questions are scored using artificial intelligence, ensuring a thorough and modern evaluation of each candidate's Python programming capabilities.
