# Javascript Programming (Web, Short) Assessment

## Description
The Javascript Programming (Web) (Short) assessment is designed to evaluate the knowledge and skills of entry-level to mid-level programmers in writing, debugging, and maintaining web application elements using standard browser-based JavaScript. The test measures candidate and employee proficiency across five key skill areas: Variables, Scope, and Data Structures; Functions, Classes, and Modules; DOM Manipulation and Browser Events; Asynchronous JavaScript and Fetch API; and Error Handling and Debugging. It assesses comprehension of scope rules, array operations, object destructuring, and design patterns used in client-side web development, as well as the ability to structure execution logic using modules, functions, and classes.

The assessment uses a variety of question formats, including Multiple Choice, Multiple Correct Answer, and Essay Composition questions, with some questions incorporating AI-assisted scoring and individual time limits to improve predictive performance and deter cheating. Questions are drawn from a large pool to further minimize the risk of cheating and ensure a fair evaluation. Together, these features make the Javascript Programming (Web) (Short) test a comprehensive and reliable tool for measuring practical JavaScript skills relevant to real-world business web application development.
