# RUST Programming (Short) Assessment

## Description
The RUST Programming (Short) test evaluates the knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level to mid-level programmers to write, debug, deploy, and maintain business applications in Rust using standard libraries, keywords, packages, and tools. The assessment measures candidate and employee proficiency across six key areas: Ownership, Borrowing, and Lifetimes; Structs, Enums, Traits, and Generics; Error Handling with Result and Option; Pattern Matching, Control Flow, and Iterators; Collections including Vectors, Hash Maps, and Strings; and Cargo, Modules, Crates, and Testing. The test uses a variety of question formats including Multiple Choice, Multiple Correct Answer, and Essay Composition questions to assess skill-based knowledge. Questions are drawn from a large pool to minimize the risk of cheating, and one or more questions include time limits to further deter dishonesty and improve predictive performance. Additionally, one or more questions are scored using artificial intelligence to ensure accurate and consistent evaluation of candidate responses.
