# Kotlin Programming (Short) Assessment

## Description
The Kotlin Programming (Short) test is designed to evaluate the knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level to mid-level Android programmers to write, debug, deploy, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin. It covers a broad range of focus areas including Kotlin Syntax and Core Language Features, Null Safety, Collections, Lambdas, and Extension Functions, Android Architecture Components (ViewModel, LiveData, and Room), Coroutines and Background Threading, and Android UI, Navigation, and User Input. The test measures skill-based competencies through a variety of question formats, including Multiple Choice, Multiple Correct Answer, and Essay Composition questions. Questions are drawn from a large pool to help prevent cheating, and one or more questions are subject to individual time limits to further deter dishonesty and improve predictive performance. AI-assisted scoring is used for one or more questions to ensure accurate and consistent evaluation of candidate responses.
