# Ruby Programming (Short) Assessment

## Description
The Ruby Programming (Short) test evaluates the knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level to mid-level programmers to write, debug, deploy, and maintain business applications in Ruby, with a primary focus on Ruby keywords, syntax, structure, and common design patterns. The test measures candidate and employee proficiency across key areas including Ruby Syntax, Data Types, and Variables; Control Flow, Loops, and Iterators; Classes, Objects, Modules, and Inheritance; Blocks, Procs, and Lambdas; Exception Handling and Debugging; and Collections and Enumerable Methods.

The test assesses skill through a variety of question formats, including Multiple Choice, Multiple Correct Answer, and Essay Composition questions, with questions drawn from a large pool to help prevent cheating. Certain questions are individually timed to further deter cheating and improve predictive performance, and one or more questions leverage artificial intelligence in scoring to ensure accurate and consistent evaluation of candidate responses.
