# MySQL Database Administration (Short) Assessment

## Description
The MySQL Database Administration (Short) assessment is designed to evaluate candidates' and employees' knowledge and skills across the core disciplines required to support MySQL database configuration, maintenance, and operations. The test measures competency in key areas including User Account and Privilege Management, Backup and Recovery, Server Configuration and Variable Management, Query Performance Monitoring and Optimization, Schema Design and Object Management, and Replication Configuration and Management. This covers a broad range of practical knowledge such as installation and upgrading of MySQL Server instances, managing user privileges and roles, backup and recovery strategies using tools like mysqldump and MySQL Enterprise Backup, InnoDB storage engine concepts, server logging, and data import and export operations.

The assessment uses a variety of question formats, including Multiple Choice, Multiple Correct Answer, and Essay Composition questions, and draws from a large question pool to help prevent cheating. One or more questions are subject to individual time limits, further deterring dishonesty and improving predictive accuracy, while artificial intelligence is leveraged to score one or more questions for a more precise evaluation of candidate responses. Together, these features make the MySQL Database Administration (Short) test a comprehensive and reliable tool for measuring the skills of practitioners in database administration roles.
