# GIT - Usage and Concepts (Short) Assessment

## Description
The GIT - Usage and Concepts (Short) assessment is designed to measure the knowledge and skills of job candidates and employees in the practical use and understanding of the GIT version control system. The test evaluates a broad range of competencies, including working with repositories and commits, creating and merging branches, collaborating with remotes, viewing history and comparing changes, undoing and reverting changes, and managing Git configuration and file tracking. It assesses understanding of core GIT concepts such as HEAD, the staging area, tracked files, and the distinctions between working directories, staging areas, and repositories, as well as practical skills such as initializing and cloning repositories, staging changes, resolving merge conflicts, using logs and diffs, applying tags, and configuring settings with git config and .gitignore.

The assessment consists of Multiple Choice and Multiple Correct Answer questions drawn from a large question pool to help prevent cheating and ensure a fair evaluation. One or more questions are also subject to time limits, further supporting test integrity and improving the predictive value of results.
