# SPSS - Usage, Syntax, and Concepts Assessment

## Description
The SPSS - Usage, Syntax, and Concepts assessment is designed to evaluate the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze complex data structures and compute useful statistics using SPSS. It measures a candidate's ability to write and execute SPSS Syntax to automate tasks and reproduce results, define and modify variables, recode and compute new variables, select and filter cases, produce descriptive statistics and frequency tables, and handle missing values. The test covers a broad range of practical SPSS competencies, including merging datasets, restructuring data, applying control structures such as DO IF and LOOP, and performing string and date transformations using SPSS Syntax.

The assessment uses a combination of Multiple Choice, Multiple Correct Answer, and Essay Composition questions drawn from a large question pool to help prevent cheating and ensure a unique testing experience. One or more questions are scored using artificial intelligence, and certain questions include individual time limits to further deter cheating and enhance the predictive accuracy of results. This test is well-suited for evaluating job candidates and employees whose roles require hands-on proficiency with SPSS for data analysis and reporting.
