The MS Outlook 2019 (Office 365) - Basic skills test is a fast, easy way to confirm whether a candidate has an understanding of basic concepts underlying Microsoft Outlook 2019. The test asks questions from a bank of questions for testing security purposes. HR Avatar periodically adds new questions to this bank to prevent cheating.
Note that users of Office 365 utilize the latest versions of Microsoft Office products. For Outlook this is currently Outlook 2019.
The Basic version of our popular MS Outlook 2019 simulation-based assessment is meant to only measure basic knowledge and skills for Outlook 2019. Advanced topics are not included in this version.
This test is fully mobile ready and operates on most modern mobile devices.
Specific topics covered within the test include:
- Blocking and unblocking senders
- Categorizing and Setting Follow-Up for email
- Configuring Folders
- Deleting Messages
- Outlook features and capabilities
- Outlook Productivity Tools
- Reading and replying to email
- Searching email
- Viewing the calendar
- Working with appointments and meetings
- Working with conversations, Search Folders, and the Focused Inbox
- Working with Search Folders
- Working with Tasks
- Writing new email
The test consists of both text-based multiple choice and simulation-based performance questions, where the candidate is asked to perform tasks on a simulated MS Outlook 2019 interface.
Note that while the Outlook 2019 skills assessment is a useful and efficient instrument for confirming a base level of skill or knowledge about this important topic, it is not intended to pinpoint the exact level of candidate or skill. We recommend that skills tests, like this one, be used in parallel with other measurements, such as cognitive ability, job fit, and behavioral history. Each different type of test provides a valuable piece of information you can use when evaluating potential job performance.
